Polypropylene Compounds(PPK)

A polypropylene compound product is produced using Homopolymer and Copolymer Polypropylene through extrusion and blending processes with different components so as to modify/improve its properties, broadening significantly the scope of PP applications.

The need for modifications in the properties is based on the fact that there are different applications for these compounds.

The most common components for adding are: mineral fillers in powder, impact modifiers, fiberglass, protective additives or additives for specific needs, pigments and so on.

Properties

  • High stiffness and abrasion resistance
  • Low specific gravity
  • High impact and fatigue resistance
  • Excellent resistance to chemical agents
  • Low hygroscopic sensitivity
  • Easy processability
  • The possibility to modify its features through a wide range of fillers, reinforcing agents and additives.

 Applications

PP Compound products are typically used in automotive applications, home appliances, small appliances, electrical power tools and various electrical equipments, water pumps and water management systems, furnitures, pipe and construction industries.
